Karola ist seit über 25 Jahren als Speakerin, sowie im Consulting, Coaching und Training tätig.
Die Wurzeln liegen in den darstellenden Künsten einschließlich professioneller Musik (Gesang & Klavier) sowie Physical Theater (Improvisationstheater, Tanz, Akrobatik, Pantomime, Körperkomödie).
Zuerst ging es um Performance und Bühne, als sie entdeckte, dass Bühnenarbeit so eng mit Führung, Selbstführung und Wirkung zusammenhängt. Ihre Überzeugung: Die Herausforderungen unserer heutigen transformativen Geschäftswelt können durch kreative Interventionen wie Improtheater trainiert werden.
Ihr Motto:
„Ich unterstütze Sie, Ihren Einfluss und Ihre Wirkung zu erhöhen. Groß denken, eine Kultur schaffen. Wie? Lernen Sie Ihrer Intuition zu folgen, mit Plan und Ziel. Das bedeutet zu wissen, wann sie Ihnen nützliche Informationen gibt und wann die Angst spricht. Und auch, dass Kreativität und Humor der Schlüssel zu erfolgreichen Menschen sind. Sie hat mit verschiedenen Organisationen und Kulturen in vielen verschiedenen Ländern zusammengearbeitet, wobei sie sich jetzt mehr auf die Vorstands- und Führungsebene konzentriert.
Corporate und Management Erfahrung
Karola Sakotnik Karriere ist so komplex und vielfältig wie ihr Können. Sie nennt fünf Meilensteine als entscheidend für ihre Entwicklung:
1) Sie begann als international erfolgreiche darstellende Künstlerin (Oper Graz, Next Liberty, Casino Estoril), war Mitinitiatorin der Krankenhaus-Clown-Bewegung in Europa (ROTE NASEN).
2) Eine Autoimmunkrankheit zwang sie, ihre Theaterkarriere zu beenden. Das MBA Studium international Culture Management in Salzburg und Chicago und schloss mit Auszeichnung ab.
3) Als Programmchefin des preisgekrönten Unterhaltungsprogramms von AIDAcruises leitete sie virtuell und online Teams auf 4 Schiffen mit 350 Mitarbeitern und € 4,5 Millionen Budget. In Hamburg ansässig wurde sie im Anschluss Künstlerische Leiterin von Hapag Lloyd Kreuzfahrten, ebenfalls mit preisgekrönten Programmen für das exklusivste Kreuzfahrtschiff der Welt.
4) Am Höhepunkt des zweiten Erfolgsweges gründete sie ihr eigenes Unternehmen Creating Culture mit der Marke Future Skills Farming, das sowohl kreative Inhalte als auch Schulungen anbietet. Das Erfahrbarmachen von kreativen Prozessen aus der Kunst, für wirtschaftliche und soziale Belange eingesetzt, sind das Hauptaugenmerk. Zahlreiche Aufträge von internationalen Konzernen wie Daimler, Bosch, T-Systems, Österreich Werbung, e-control, Quality Austria folgten.
5) Die für die aktuelle Zeit prägendste Herausforderung bestand darin, künstlerische Leiterin und operative Programmdirektorin von „Emergency Smile“ zu sein. Sie entwickelte und leitete das Programm 4 Jahre. Es bietet auch heute noch psychosoziale Unterstützung durch Humor und Clownerie für kriegs- und foltertraumatisierte Menschen mit einem internationalen Team von 16 Künstlern. Zunächst galt das Programm als zu experimentell für Flüchtlingslager. Bereits nach zwei Jahren wurde es von Partnern wie Ärzte ohne Grenzen und IFRC sogar mitfinanziert. Jetzt gibt sie diese Erfahrung von Führung und Wirkung weiter.

Ziel: Kooperations-Kultur-Entwicklung und Entwicklung adäquater Kommunikationsinstrumente, die auf Zusammenarbeit, Identität und Synergie beruhen.
- Prozess-Moderation der Innovations- Meetings bei einer Regulierungsbehörde in Österreich. Themen sind: Wo braucht die Regulierung innovative Ideen, wie kann eine Regulierungsbehörde die Entwicklung des Energiemarktes beeinflussen und neue Standards oder neue Quellen setzen.
- Speaker Inszenierung und Coaching. Sie arbeitet mit Führungskräften und Fachreferenten aller Bereiche zusammen: bei der Vorbereitung ihrer Reden, der Entwicklung ihrer Redefähigkeiten und bei der Einflussnahme. Sie leitet und entwickelt auch ihre Leistungen mit ihnen.
- Karola ist auch Gründerin der ersten österreichischen Rednerplattform „Reden für die Zukunft“.

| Coaching Experience Karola has been actively and practically involved in coaching for over 25 years. The roots were performing arts including professional music (singing & piano), as well as physical theatre (impro theatre, dance, acrobatics, pantomime, physical comedy). First it was about performance and stage, when she discovered that stage work is so closely related to leadership, self-leadership and impact. The challenges of our nowadays transformational business environment can be trained through creative interventions like impro theatre. Her motto: “I assist you to increase your impact. Think big, create a culture. Be able to follow your gut feeling, knowing when it is giving you useful information and when it is freaking out. Know that creativity and humour are key to us humans. Make a vision, take all your courage, be empathetic, dare to name the truth and go for it!” She has worked with different organizations and cultures in many different countries, now focusing more on Board and senior levels. | ||
| Corporate and Management Experience has now worked for over 10 years nationally and internationally in the fields of coaching and inspiring high potentials and leaders to exponentially increase their impact by creating a human culture. Her career is as complex and diverse so have become her assets. She names five milestones as crucial to her development: she started out as international performing artist, co-initiated the hospital clown movement in Europe (RED NOSES). An autoimmune disease made her stop her physical theatre career, she went back to University. As Manager Entertainment Program and Operations AIDAcruises, she arrived in the world of virtual leadership, leading teams on 4 ships, herself based in Hamburg and became then the Artistic Director of Hapag Lloyd Cruises, again award winning. At the top of the second success path she still knew to move on. She founded her own agency delivering both creative content and training. Learning from creative processes as used in arts for business and social needs was her main focus by then. The most challenging milestone was to be Artistic and Program Director of “Emergency Smile”, a program delivering psychosocial support through humour and clowning to war and torture traumatized individuals with an international team of 16 performing artists. At first the program was considered as too edgy for refugee camps, at the end of four years, partners like Doctors without Borders and IFRC even co-funded it. Now she passes on this expertise of leadership and impact. |

Karola coaches the HR Executive of a large transportation caterer in her transformation in work and life. The goal is to unwrap the true purpose and direction in (work) life as she needs to find ways of how to make the impact she desires.
Karola is part of a Senior Managers Leadership
program with one of the leading car producers in Germany (DAIMLER)
Karola is facilitating the process of uniting 30 regional independent culture producers and artists to develop a common marketing tools, based on cooperation, identity and synergy.
Karola facilitates innovation processes with a regulation authority in Austria. Topics are: where does regulation need innovative ideas, how can a regulation authority impact the development of the energy market and set new standards or new sources.
She also works with senior managers and professional speakers of all areas: preparing their speeches, developing their speaking capacities and in how to have an impact.
She also directs and develops their performance with them.
Karola also hosts the first Austrian Speaker Platform “Speaking for the Future”
